Biografia de Mecano
Todo empezó a comienzos de los ochenta, cuando el grupo español principal, los Pecos, estaba dando sus últimos coletazos y la musica Pop estaba empezando. Tambien comenzaba a dejarse ver la movida madrileña que entre otras cosas necesitaba música.
El primer grupo de Nacho Cano se llamaba PRISMA que no llegó a cuajar por las diferencias de opinión de sus componentes. No fue así con MECANO, grupo que empezó timidamente como el que no quiere la cosa.
Como en los Pub's en los que intentaron promocionarse no les hacían ni caso lo intentaron con las casas de discos que tampocon les prestaron demasiada atención hasta que su primer single, 'Hoy no me puedo levantar' consiguió vender 35.000 copias. La cosa empezó a cambiar.
Su primer disco llamado como ellos, Mecano fue un autentico éxito, así como su presentación, celabrada en el Hotel Palace (Madrid)y a la que asistió el en aquel entonces alcalde de Madrid, Enrique Tierno Galván, que como los demás, se coló en esa fiesta.
A partir de ahí la explosión de Mecano fue total y se convirtió en el grupo favorito de los quinceañeros del pais que se veian completamente identificados en sus letras.
Ana Torroja, la voz cantante del grupo, pasa de su timidez en el escenario de las discotecas en las que empezaron a tener plena confianza en si misma y ver como día tras día, en el escanario, el público se mete en su bolsillo. Su voz, educada según el grupo iba progresando, adquiere una calidad que hemos podido comprobar alcanza su máximo esplendor en sus últimos lp´s.
Su ultimo trabajo como grupo fue este, de nuevo un bombazo total que los tuvo de gira mucho tiempo por toda españa. Todos los querian oir en concierto y vivir la magia del trio en accion, en vivo y en directo. Despues de esto Mecano anuncia formalmente su separacion como grupo y cada cual tira para su lado. |
