Después de haber terminado la primaria, Tiziano comenzó dos carreras universitarias diferentes: Ingeniería (durante un año) y Ciencias de la comunicación.. sin embargo, ya su mente comenzaba a estar en otra parte: la música.
Desde los 7 años Tiziano mostró gran interès en la música y fue a esta edad cuando tuvo su primera guitarra. También ha estudiado piano y bateria. Ya a una temprana edad comenzó a escribir sus primeras canciones y fue a los 16 años cuando se aventuró hacia una dirección musical más madura al formar parte del coro gospel de su ciudad. Su experiencia en este coro le hizo acercarse aún más a la música negra, asi como apasionarse por la música. “La música es mi amor más grande” comenta Tiziano.
En 1997 fue descubierto por los productores Mara Majonchi y Alberto Salerno, los cuales trabajaron al lado de Tiziano durante dos años muy intensos para mejorar su técnica de canto y composición, hasta que encontraron a Michele Canova, quien demostró ser el arreglista que daría el toque necesario que Tiziano estaba buscando para su música. Ya una vez que contó con su equipo completo, Tiziano llamó literalmente a todas las puertas de las casas discográficas hasta que eventualmente fue contratado por EMI en el 2001.
EMI lanzó su primer single “PERDONO” en julio del 2001 y se convirtió en un hit instantaneo. En el espacio de pocas semanas, el single se disparó al número uno tanto en las listas de popularidad como en las listas de ventas. Se quedó en la cima de las listas por cuatro semanas consecutivas, convirtiéndose en el tercer single más vendido en Italia del 2001.
El éxito monumental obtenido con este primer single cimentó el terreno para el lanzamiento del álbum “ROJO RELATIVO” . Este álbum , con una combinación de R&B y pop contemporáneo, comunicó todas las emociones que Tiziano lleva dentro. Las 12 canciones que componen este álbum fueron escritas por Tiziano y han demostrado que está muy lejos de ser considerado artista de un sólo éxito.
El álbum fue lanzado en Italia en octubre del 2001 y fue excelentemente recibido tanto por los medios como por los fans, quienes lo consideraron uno de los mejores discos del año. Debutó en el # 8 en las listas de ventas de álbumes en Italia, permaneciendo en el Top 10 en Italia por más de siete meses, y más de un año en el Top 50 (60 semanas en total). Eventualmente fue certificado Triple Disco de Platino por ventas de más de 300.000 álbumes.
El álbum “ROJO RELATIVO” ha sido lanzado en más de 43 paises en el mundo (principalmente en Europa y Latinoamérica). Ha sido lanzado en paises tan diversos como Arabia, Sudáfrica, Japón y Nueva Zelanda.
Durante los dos últimos años de promoción Tiziano ha viajado extenuantemente. Desde Italia hasta Brasil, desde Polonia hasta Chile... Aún cuando esto ha significado muchísimos viajes, horas, días, semanas en cuartos de hotel, esperas en aeropuertos, limousinas, estudios de TV y estaciones de radio, Tiziano se las ha arreglado para escribir el material de su segundo disco, el cual comenzó a grabar en Mayo del 2003, contanto nuevamente con Michele Canova como arreglista.
“111” es el título del esperadísimo segundo álbum de Tiziano Ferro. Significa indudablemente un paso adelante en la búsqueda musical que Tiziano ha querido imponer desde los inicios de su carrera. Se trata de un álbum maduro, ya sea en términos musicales como en las letras. “111” será lanzado el 7 de noviembre tanto en Italia como en 40 paises simultáneamente.
La primera joya de este nuevo disco se llama “PERVERSO” y será el primer single, el cual está sonando en radio desde el 12 de Septiembre. |
